5G Phones in Sri Lanka: Prices & Buying Advice (October 2026)

Our 5G phones shortlist is paused: only 3 of the 5G phones we'd put on it are in stock right now, which is too few to rank honestly. Below is what to look for, the 3 you can order today from LKR 95,499, and the rest of the shelf that's in stock.

update Stock and LKR prices checked October 2026. This page ranks a shortlist again once enough are back.

What to look for in a 5G phone

  • check_circle Check coverage where you actually are — Dialog and SLT-Mobitel have launched 5G in Sri Lanka, but coverage is still concentrated in Colombo and other urban centres. Outside them, a 5G phone runs on 4G like any other.
  • check_circle Check the bands — most 5G phones sold here support the common 3.5GHz band (n78). Confirm it on the spec sheet before you buy an imported model.
  • check_circle 5G costs battery on a weak signal — hunting for a 5G connection drains a phone faster, so a large battery matters more on a 5G handset.
  • check_circle Buy it as future-proofing, not a premium — 5G is worth having if you keep a phone for three years or more, but don't pay much extra for the badge today.
