What to look for in an LED video light
- check_circle Brightness and distance — a small clip light is for close-up faces; a panel earns its place when it has to light a whole subject from a metre or two back.
- check_circle Bi-colour or RGB — adjustable colour temperature lets you match daylight or indoor bulbs; RGB adds coloured effects for content and streaming.
- check_circle CRI — a high colour-rendering index keeps skin tones natural; cheap low-CRI lights make faces look sallow on camera.
- check_circle Power — built-in rechargeable batteries free you from a socket, but check the runtime at full brightness, not the best-case figure.
- check_circle Mounting — a standard 1/4" thread lets the light sit on any tripod, stand or cage you already own.
How we ranked these ring lights
This isn't a paid list. We start with every ring lights actually in stock at DreamTek, then rank them on the things that matter once your money's down: whether it's available right now, the length and provider of the warranty, the real feature set (not just spec-sheet numbers), the current discount off RRP, and live LKR price. Picks and prices are refreshed from our catalogue — last updated October 2026 — so what you read here is what you can buy today. If something sells out, it drops down the list.
